Nicole Bilderback vs IMDb — Setting the Record Straight with Comedy
Nicole Bilderback from Bring It On was mistakenly accused of suing IMDb. She contacted me to make a Funny or Die video to clear things up — with humor.

Wait… Which Nicole Bilderback?
In 2011, an actress named Nicole Bilderback sued IMDb for revealing her age — because apparently, the internet loves to play detective on birthdays. But spoiler alert: it wasn’t the Nicole Bilderback you know from Bring It On and Dark Angel.
Still, the mix-up was so wild that the real Nicole got death threats and angry letters from people convinced she was suing a website just for showing her age. (IMDb, the site that’s basically Wikipedia but for actors, had unintentionally turned her life into a Hollywood mystery.)
Comedy to the Rescue
Nicole reached out to me, ready to clear the air — but with a sense of humor sharp enough to slice through all the internet nonsense. We wrote a sketch that leaned into the confusion and absurdity of it all.
Because when life gives you mistaken identity and angry emails, you make comedy gold.

Working with
We brought the sketch to Funny or Die, the comedy site founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay — known for bold, edgy humor. At first, they seemed excited about the idea.
But once the sketch was finished, it turned out they didn’t think it was funny — they thought it should die. For reasons that remain mysterious (and maybe a little corporate), they decided not to host it.
Guess even Funny or Die isn’t immune to killing the jokes sometimes!
Watch the Sketch
Although Funny or Die decided not to host the sketch, Nicole and I released it on other platforms where it found its audience.
Here’s the video — Nicole’s honest and funny response to the confusion and chaos.
